Jay Collins
Jay Collins, a native of Waukegan, Illinois, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Northern Illinois University in 1989. He quickly transitioned to the trading floor of the CME, working his way up from a runner and phone clerk for Dean Witter Reynolds to managing an Institutional Equity Index desk before splitting off in 2004 to run his own institutional execution operation specializing in S&P futures and options. Starting in 2015, while still running his execution business, Jay spent 3 years filling customer orders as a broker in the Eurodollar options pit. He joined Archer Financial Services in 2025, specializing in a broad range of products for specs, commercial hedgers, farmers, and precious metals dealers.
Jay resides in Chicago’s western suburbs with his wife and 3 children.
