MORNING LIVESTOCK FUTURES OUTLOOK
CATTLE COMPLEX
Cash cattle prices have dropped but still remain historically high. Analysts and traders aren’t expecting an increase of the US. cattle inventory at least for the first half of 2026. Beef prices will remain high unless the US increases beef imports especially from Brazil or if the quarantine of Mexican cattle is lifted and even then, Mexican feeders are mostly low select cattle so top beef cuts are likely to remain high priced.
Prices for Feeder Cattle have dropped but it was expected. Feeder cattle have such small open interest when speculative traders of size enter orders, they easily can move it.

LEAN HOG COMPLEX
After a busy trading day Monday, Lean Hog volume dropped Tuesday. Volume was moderate with traders rolling out of December and mostly into February.
