Packers Killing Fewer Hogs?

Dropping the price of cattle slows movement along with packers scheduling deliveries for cattle.   Packers have needed to move more beef to daily sales with previous export contracts being revised down and retailers rescheduling when orders can be shipped. As of the December 30th exports, there have been no  export cancellations, just revisions

Average daily hog and carcass weights have gone up every day over the past week.  Why? Packers are intentionally killing fewer hogs. Dominating and controlling the number of hogs killed.
