LIVESTOCK AM OUTLOOK
This week there isn’t going to be any weather markets. Temperatures from the Midwest to the Southwest are expected to be a few degrees above average with little to no rain. With many feedlots dry, the recent snows will soak in fast. For this time of the year, the majority of feedlots are in very good condition.
Negotiated hogs, formula and future priced hogs were higher. Weather had an effect to the movement and availability of hogs, but even before the severe weather, prices have been up as packers needed hogs for slaughter. This week temperatures are warming and there shouldn’t be any problems with moving hogs.
