MORNING LIVESTOCK FUTURES OUTLOOK
CATTLE COMPLEX
Traders on Monday began rolling out of February. Volume was moderately active.
Boxed beef prices were higher with buyers amping up buying of chucks, rounds and briskets. Consumers want the cheapest products. 2025 had a record year for ground beef sales and 2026 is likely to be another year.
LEAN HOG COMPLEX
Loin prices have been moving higher but ham prices have been moving lower. Pork is cheap compared to beef and consumers are looking for cheap proteins.
