MORNING LIVESTOCK FUTURES OUTLOOK
CATTLE COMPLEX
Trade volume was light Thursday. Open interest is dropping indicating traders are exiting trades from outright futures, and spreads. With the uncertainty from tariffs and immigrants in the meat industry and making record highs on prices, traders are moving to the sidelines.
PORK COMPLEX
Hog prices have been dropping. In China and the agricultural department is starting to fine producers that buy market ready hogs and take them back to farms that add weight. The pork China imports is mostly for storage or better known as “strategic reserves.”
