COCOA
Cocoa prices have seen positive price action in a period of increased short-term demand concerns. While demand concerns remain an issue, cocoa may find fresh support from the supply side of the market that can lift prices up to new 2-month highs.
COFFEE
While coffee prices will start today’s trading closer to their July low than their July high, the market is finally showing early signs that a near-term low may be in. With global demand starting to show improvement while bullish supply-side developments provide support, coffee may be able to extend a recovery move over the next few sessions.
COTTON
The cotton market remains in an overbought technical condition and with high open interest, futures are vulnerable to long liquidation selling if support levels are violated. Talk of the strong demand and a continued advance in the US stock market helped to support the market recently.
SUGAR
The Brazilian frost damage will add onto the impact of very dry conditions over the past year which should help support global prices. A more than 1% pullback in the Brazilian currency and continued weakness in energy prices weighed on the sugar market.
