MORNING LIVESTOCK FUTURES OUTLOOK
LIVE CATTLE COMPLEX
Live cattle trade volume was moderately active Thursday with the vast majority of trading on October and December as spread traders moved spreads throughout the day.
Beef and pork prices have been moving lower which is a normal occurrence after Labor Day. Consumers spend less during September after the expenditures of summer, school expenses and saving for the end of the year holidays and now with higher energy cost more consumers are having to spend less.

LEAN HOG COMPLEX
September is normally slow for pork sales. But October is national pork month when retailers offer pork sales. During September hog prices could move up especially with it below the hog index.
