Victor Taveras

Victor started his career as a back office specialist in 1979 for Paine Webber and later Macro where he managed the back office operation. Desiring to be part of a profit center, Victor later joined Rudolf Wolf as an order desk clerk quickly becoming the order desk supervisor. Late in 1986, he joined Gruntal as the order desk manager. He was promoted to Vice President of Operations and not long after become the Managing Director of the FCM. After Gruntal was sold in 2002 to Ryan Beck, a broker dealer who did not offer futures, Victor found a position with Refco taking all the futures business with him. Victor helped guide Ryan Beck to become an IB as well as write their futures manual. In 2010, he joined AFS as the first senior account executive in their New York office. Victor's clients range from institutional to retail and his strong support and back office skills have helped him to assist other AFS brokers grow their managed account and Broker dealer business. Victor is a strong believer in value added service to help his customers, both novice and highly advanced, achieve their financial and risk management goals.
